What will you be doing?

We are looking for Senior Telecoms Infrastructure Administrator who can help my client deliver their mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.

As the Senior Telecoms Infrastructure Administrator your key responsibilities are

  • Working with the business to design, implement, manage and support the group telecoms platforms. This includes account creation and management, call flow management/Interactive Voice Response and supporting staff with resolving issues.
  • Working with platform providers to ensure account relationships are maintained and licensing reviewed with appropriate internal teams.
  • Planning and preparing for any expansion and changes within the Group.
  • Actively working to ensure software licencing across all environments in use within the Group is recorded and kept compliant.

  • Relevant degree, technical certification or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills to confidently communicate with employees at all levels of the organisation.
  • Well organised and able to manage their own workload.
  • Experience of maintaining a cloud-based contact centre environment.
  • Experience of maintaining call groups, call flows, and user accounts in a cloud or on-premises telephony environment.
  • Understanding of key telecommunications technologies such as Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and call flow management.

My client is a class leading UK business who have a seven-year order book, so they are strong and good at what they do. This is an opportunity to join the right team who know how to do the right things.

What will you be doing?

The role is based in the Woolpit Head Office, and you will be expected to be on-site for three days a week. The other two days can be from home unless you prefer to work in the office full-time.

The role is part of a Change Programme where the vision is to be the leading industry partner to accelerate the UK towards net zero for their customers. Their group of companies has been the major drive for change and innovation over 30 years.

The team are embarking on an ambitious business change programme with the aim of harnessing the power of our data to continue to drive the business forward and help serve their customers even better. They are at the beginning of this journey and are looking for an enthusiastic ‘Data Engineer – Data & Business Change’ who enjoys embedding new ways of working and showcasing their skills to drive change within the business.

You will be joining a new team and will have the opportunity to contribute to both your peers and the wider businesses learning, work with our external partner to embed our data strategy and help us lay the foundations for future exciting data projects.

As part of the programme team, you will be working with other people who are passionate about bringing new ways of thinking around data to the business and will be well supported in exploring new directions of travel.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to showcase the power of data, drive change within the business, and help embed best practise.

What skills and experience do you need for the role?

This role is all about having the right mix of Data Engineer skills and experience together with a mindset that allows you to explore and influence how the programme can be shaped both technically and with business colleagues. You will be comfortable trialling new technologies and toolsets, and also working one-to-one with business colleagues.

  • Degree within a technical or business-related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience designing and implementing engineering solutions to complex problems with usage of data mining tools and techniques
  • Exposure to large and complex datasets, identifying efficiencies, required manipulation and governance
  • Communication skills with the ability to liaise with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Inquisitive nature with strong analytical skills
